As of now, i am still uncertain as to what direction I will be taking with the final project. I may choose to research the college drop out rate and the reasons behind it.
OK, that's a good start. I gave out some statistics on the first day that suggest the college drop out rate is rather high, since practically as many leave college as complete a four year degree, even in NJ (which has a very high graduation rate). There is a group, the Lumina Foundation, that focuses on raising college graduation rates and they seem to have some good data and information. And recently the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation gave money toward the cause of raising graduation rates, so I think we are going to be seeing more discussion and research on this issue.
