This is relatable to fraternities in the sense that it represents te hardships and trials that an individual must experience before he becomes a brother. This image is simply metaphorical and has nothing to do with Greek life. If you have any statistics whatsoever regarding fraternity membership and graduation rate or success after graduation, you should graph those numbers yourself or look to see if anyone has. It took me two minutes of searching to find the image linked above from Phi Gama Delta.
